P1013 Engine Code
Hello everyone. I have a 2017 Ford F-150 2.7L Ecoboost and keeps throwing the P1013 code causing the check engine light. Can someone explain to me what the issue may be? The only upgrades I have on the vehicle is a turbosmart Blow off Valve, Turbosmart mechanical. boost gauge, and Injen throttle performance. Also yesterday the truck lost all power and every error popped up on the dash display. I had to pull over and shut engine down, open and close the driver door and restart. It was fine with no check engine light but when I started the truck this morning low and behold check engine light. My truck is still under warranty but wondering if the dealer will ding me on the upgrades and claim its because of the upgrades. Really don't want to undo everything. The truck is running great. There is no tune on it yet as I am awaiting for Cold air intake and cat back exhaust. What do you guys or gals think?
P1013 - Wastegate Control Pressure Circuit High
Description:
This DTC sets when the wastegate vacuum sensor reading is greater than a calibrated threshold and the fault timer has exceeded the calibrated time threshold indicating an open circuit or a short to voltage.Possible Causes:
- WVS circuit open
- WVS circuit short to voltage
- Damaged wastegate vacuum sensor
Diagnostic Aids:
The typical maximum threshold is 4.93 V and time threshold is 5 seconds.Probably a bad sensor or a damaged wire.

Well you messed with the turbo system and now you have a turbo system CEL..
I don't know enough to recommend removing parts but if you cant isolate this I would undo everything and let the warranty work this one

Anyone else have any advice as to where to start troubleshooting this issue. I had the check engine light cleared and was good for a couple of days and then go out and start the truck I get the check engine light.
Yes, remove your mods, clear the code, see if it comes back while stock.
Please understand I'm not trying to insult you but you modified and 'engineered operating system'.
It is now out of original spec or a fault has been introduced.
Try the company that sells the modifications to get there opinion. They may need to know.
This is a classic case of when you 'play' you pay for the results that occur.
Good luck.

Figured it out. The voltage threshold was 5.99 and needed to be I think it was 4.65. Cleared the code and it immediately came back. There was an issue with the Throttle Commander so I uninstalled it and the voltage dropped. Lets just say that that is being returned. It could be a faulty unit but since I am getting the truck tuned so they would remove it anyways. It was good to know it was not the Turbosmart BOV installed.
Hope it holds
