Default P0430 code

I just bought my first F150 last month. I am 60 y/o and have always owned Chevy's. I will start by saying I LOVE THIS TRUCK!
It is a 2019 F150 XLT crewcab 4X4 with the 3.5L Ecoboost. It has 80,000 miles. I drove it 5hours home, no problems. I changed the oil, oil filter, air filter, both diff's, transfer case and dropped the tranny pan and changed the tranny filter as well. Also changed the plugs and boots.
Now I have gotten the P0430 code. I checked both cats with my handheld temp gauge. Drivers side in temp was roughly 316-320,out temp was 330-340ish. Passanger side was roughly the same. From what I have read, a bad cat would have a lower out temp. So, I used took a chance and replaced the drivers side downstream O2 sensor. Reset the error code, check engine light came back after about 3 days, same code.
Not sure what to do now. Any suggestions before I take it to a local mechanic?

Here is the list of possible causes from the WSM:
  • Damaged heated oxygen sensor (HO2S)
  • Exhaust leaks
  • Damaged exhaust manifold
  • Damaged catalytic converter
  • Oil contamination
  • Cylinder misfiring
  • Downstream HO2S wires incorrectly connected
  • Damaged exhaust system pipe
  • Damaged muffler and tailpipe assembly
  • Evaporative emission (EVAP) purge valve stuck open
  • Leaking fuel injector
  • Oil contamination of the catalyst
  • Damaged turbocharger
  • Base engine concerns

It's almost always a converter that ain't converting well enough anymore.

If it has less than EXACTLY 80,000 miles and you're not in California, the cats are still covered under federal emissions warranty. If the mileage is over 80,000, you're probably screwed and will need to pay for a new converter yourself.

I'd wager the seller knew about the condition...

Thanks for the replys. Bought from a used car lot........umm yeah. Anyway, yes, it has 81,800 miles on it, so I am on my own as far as Ford is concerned. I did happen to purchase a warranty plan from CarShield the day I bought the truck just in case. They have a month to month plan, no contract, unlimited miles, unlimited years, as long as you pay the monthly fee. It was cheaper than what my credit union offered and no mileage limit. Plan does have a $100 deductible per repair.
I have Forscan on my laptop and have been trying to use it to diagnose the problem. The O2 sensors look fine as far as I can tell by looking at the graphs.( I did replace the downstream one on the bank 2 side just as a shot in the dark). Does not have any exhaust leaks, scan shows no misfires, exhaust system looks great as far as I can tell. Will check the EVAP purge valve as I have not done that.
I have found an aftermarket cat on Ebay for $162, I may go ahead and purchase and replace the cat and see if that fixes the problem. If not, I will take to mechanic and file with Car Shield and see if I can get it taken care of.
