Use Dorman wheel nuts on the race car, was considering upgrading the 150 to them, till I saw this negative review. Anyone else having issues with them?

Sweet, thank you. I ordered the driven ones, and I will take a mic to them and make sure they are right. If they are not, I’ll return them and get the gorilla ones above.

Why did you need an extractor. If you peel off the cheap coating there is a solid lug under it

He said he rounded two of them off trying to remove them.

Anyways the only replacements I could get my hands on at the time were these Dorman nuts from auto zone. It looks like the part of the nut that holds the wheel in (lack of a better term) is much smaller than the factory nuts. Am I going to have issues with these nuts?

^^Rounded the cover out, be kinda hard to round out the solid steal lug inside of it. Besides I would be worried with an extractor of drilling into the stud.
Once they are rounded out the cheap cover comes off by working them with Channel locks,

Probably he didn't know they had a cover over the top until after they were removed and/or he posted here.

I didn't see where he said he did any drilling.

Perhaps he can clarify for you.

I didn't see where he said he did any drilling. AN ASSUMPTION MADE AS THE ONLY EXTRACTORS I KNOW OF ONE NEEDS TO DRILL INTO IT TO EXTRACT

Perhaps he can clarify for you.

This type of extractor would work for lug nuts.

I've never used Dorman lug nuts but I won't buy Dorman anything for any of my vehicles. Most of their parts are crap and I'm not going to try and figure out which ones might be worthwhile because the odds are against me. If you buy anything with the Dorman name on it, know that the odds of it being a decent part are low.

The exception is if you are forced into repairing your ex wife's car and just want to get it out of your driveway as quickly as possible.

Yes I bought mine in late 2018 at $33 shipped. I now see them going for 59.99, doubled the price.
