Default Overhead Console Power

Does anyone know if there is a power lead in the overhead console of my KR with sunroof that is constant hot?

To me it looks like the Courtesy circuit will be the closest thing to full time power. If you need true constant power I think you will have to run a circuit from the battery or add-a-fuse from the BCM.

Thanks I ordered a couple add-a-fuses. I need both switched and constant power.

Sounds like you are adding a dash cam and want to have it run in park mode. There are a couple of threads on this topic if you search.

Yep that's what led me to the add-a-fuses. Originally I was just going to grab power from any hot and switched source but it isn't much more effort to run the wires from the fuse panel with their own fuse.

For the unswitched, I suggest F27 [30A] in the BCM which is for Roof Opening Module and Sunshade Module.
For switched, I suggest F36 [15A] in the BCM which is for Rear Heated Seat Module, Auto-dimming Rear View Mirror, Image Processing Module B [IPMB], and Heated Steering Wheel Module [HSWM]

Of course, there are lots of other options here.

Thanks those worked great I just got done installing the parking timer module. 36 was a little tough because the piggy-back fuse adapter I was using was hitting the edge since 36 is close to the edge of the box but I got it working. I'll go out in 2 hours to make sure it shuts off.

I just went to the store and back and when I got home the camera was off. I am not sure when it went off but no power. I'll review the video and see if I can tell when it quit. I have the timer, which will also shut power to the camera if the car voltage gets too low, set to the lowest voltage detection so it shouldn't have shut off for low voltage.
