Default Overall length

Greetings,

I just joined this site after I tried to post a question and I can't find that post so if this is a double please forgive me. I'm shopping for a new F150 with a 5.5 bed because my garage space is limited. I can rip out a work bench but need to know how much room I'll have to move around afterward.

Nothing online gives the overall length of an F150 SuperCrew with the 5.5 foot bed. I assume that someone here owns one of those beasts and can give an informed answer.

It will be very much appreciated.

Thanks,
HBS

I have a 20ft deep garage and my SCrew with 5 1/2 bed just fits, maybe 2” to spare front and back...

Thanks SPOAT. That chart gives a number that does not match what the salesman told me which is what I was afraid of. Rats.

Damn, that's close. I need to be able to walk to the other side of my garage because that is where my reloading bench is located. Thanks

I also checked this to make sure my truck would fit in my garage. A 2018 SCREW with a 5.5 ft. bed is 231.9" long overall. Which translates to 19.33 ft.

Yep, official length is 19' 4", but as I found out, most stupid builders don't make the garages 20 x 20 anymore. Not even close, in fact; most new houses were like 18 x 17, like if everybody had a freaking Mini Cooper. Ha ha. I had a hard time finding a rental house with the garage long enough to fit my new truck, but I eventually did. The garage is 20 x 18.5 wide, so a bit tight, but parked in reverse, truck hits the concrete stop about 7 inches from the wall (I can pass behind it), and about 1" in front, but that's enough. Just have to make sure I don't park it crooked, or door would hit my front bumper. I always check the door line in the ground before closing it, but so far I haven't had to reaccomodate the truck, so I'm good. My new house will have room to spare, but at this pace, it'll take a year to be ready. And no, it won't have those stupid stops (it'll be a step into the house, not 3' before), so I can park it any way I want. With both cameras, I can park it consistently about 2" from a wall with the rear camera, and about 4" with the front one.

I measured my garage and it is 21 feet from back wall to garage door. I'm going to have to remove 3 feet of work bench and move stuff around to get the truck in but it is doable. Now to see if the dealer will work with me.
