My AAT shows accurate outside air temperature on the display as long as I give it time to settle at the current temperature. The AAT sensor is purposely designed to act slowly so that it does not drastically change engine and HVAC operations when intermittently travelling through areas like underground garages, shade, tunnels etc.
i should have been clearing in my response. what is your known source. if your using weatherunderground or some other service the temp might not be hyperlocal, temp can vary that much over short distances. i have a weather station at my house so i know mines within +/- 2 degrees. our year trucks the sensor is in front of the radiator

Mine is usually within a couple degrees of nearby weather stations and the thermometers on my front and back patios (which rarely match each other - there is a degree or two of error in any of them).
I don’t know if this is related, but sometimes it takes several blocks for my sync 3.4 to become responsive. It will boot up but it doesn’t respond to touches for a while. The backup camera works, the stereo plays music, but I can’t change the Sirius channel, for example. It’s kind of annoying, but it doesn’t happen very often. When the temperature gets ‘stuck’ it lasts much longer than the sync freeze, so they probably aren’t related. Odd.
