Default Outdoor temp reading

I have a 2015 F150 and the outdoor temperature reading is way off from the actual temperature. Any suggestions?

Tell your dealer. It's under warranty.. When my 2002 was doing this I had to replace the sender under the hood.

How much is "way off"? Are you talking 85 when its 95 out or 32 when its 95?

It said 117 on mine today. Unfortunately it was correct.

It was reading 74 when it was 88 today. Some days it is 5 degrees off, other days 12-15 degrees off. Some days it is within a decree or two. It seems to like 64 and 74 a lot.

Unplug the battery first. That's what the dealer is going to do. So try that first and then see if it corrects itself.

Does it correct itself after driving for a few minutes? I've noticed parking in the shade vs sunlight will cause it to be extra high or low but after driving for a few minutes it will adjust itself.

After selling 700,000 F-150's during the last year, I could believe there is a defective thermostat, sending unit, etc. or two. Also, I believe there is a C and F setting? Are you on the right one?

If so it's off to the dealer.

Not a C/F issue based on the readings presented. Unhook battery and if that doesn't work take it in. It likely won't work.
