Default Original Mirrors

Hello all. I just replaced my mirrors on my 2017 with aftermarket tow mirrors. Do the original mirrors have any value? Could they be sold on Craigslist etc.... ???

Yes you can sell them. As far as how much you can get for them that varies a lot depending on the options on the mirrors. Options such as puddle light, blind spot, 360 camera, power fold and spotlight all will increase the price

I swapped to tow mirrors over a year ago. The original mirrors were cleaned, boxed and put in my basement as back up and/or to give to the next owner with the truck.

If you have the basic power only mirrors, they’re not really worth selling unless you don’t have the space to keep them.

Default Auto-dimming

If your driver side mirror has auto-dimming it would be desirable for those with compatible 2018s who don’t have this feature. I just “upgraded” mine via a mirror off a 2016.

I got a price of $1400 for driver and passenger mirrors w Chrome finish for my 2020 Lariat. That’s from a Ford dealer. My truck came with tow mirrors from the factory. My plan is to swap them for the regular mirrors for 95% of the time, then switch back to tow mirrors only when hauling a big trailer for long distance.

I have a 2020 F150 STX with the cheapest mirrors--electric adjustments. I ordered an $85 aftermarket mirror replacement for the right side, however it doesn't have the thermister that shows the temperature on the dash. It throws up a code without the thermister hooked up. The OEM mirror is over $300.

I have one mirror spotted in a salvage yard about 100 miles from me. Sure beats spending $225 more getting one at a dealership.
