Default Options for locating keypad code

So I bought a 2016 earlier this week which did not include the owners manual, therefore I don't have the key code. I was told to contact the original dealer and the service dept could run the vin and tell me the code. Problem is that the carfax doesn't list the dealer and the dealer (non ford) I bought it from is no help whatsoever. I'm coming from a 13 F150 and used the keypad daily, so this is very frustrating to be without it. I also only have one key.

I know on the previous gen models, you could locate the code on the back of the fuse box under the glove box. Is this still the case on the new ones? Someone please help me out here. It can't possibly be this difficult.

Are you able to order a new key from amazon/eBay for a few bucks? Then take it to a Ford dealer and have it cut/programmed which allows you two keys. With those you can just insert 2 keys in a row and it displays your code.

Any authorised dealer should be able to reset the code... However, they charge you.

I do believe that the code is also written somewhere inside the dash. You'll have to take it apart. lol

The keypad code should be behind the passenger side kick panel

Okay, I called my local dealer, and you are correct. Told me they can run theft prevention for $65. I'd rather take apart my dash if it's in there

If the previous owner programmed their own code wouldn't it be different than the factory code? Does the factory code still work after it has been changed?

You cannot delete the factory code. If your local to Dayton Ohio I’ll read it with my IDS for -$0-.

I had to find mine just like in that video. I pulled all the trim, but I didn't have a good enough angle (or good enough eyes!) to actually read the code, so angled my phone in to get a picture and could read it off that. The code printed there should always work. If you "change" the code, you are really just adding another code.
