Options..........
36 gallon tank, tailgate step, wheel well liners, sunroof, are musts. I live in the great white north and sunroofs are great on cold sunny winter days.
If you are on the road alot the Adaptive cruise is great (except for the occasional hard braking, but that's another post/story), if you get the ACC, I believe its part of Tech package which has lane assist and park assist (don't knock it till you try it, its great!) If you use the bed a lot or are **** about keeping it clean (like me) the box side steps are well worth it.
I bought my bedrug, weathertech mats, no drill mud flaps, swing cases and access cover from a local MN truck store (RADCO) and got a great package price. Also got the full 3M clear bra protection and paint protection.
If you live in a snowy climate, try and get better tires from the factory or dealer. I recommend Michelin LTX Defender's.
Take delivery on a bright, sunny day and look for paint/finish and body fitment issues. My loaded 16 Lariat had many, my dealer took care of them.
Good luck, enjoy the new ride, hope it doesn't take too long to get.

Wife and I are going to set down this week with the dealership, and order a 2017 K/R.
What options do you have that you like, and what ones would you not order again?
We really do not want the painted bumpers, and would prefer chrome, as I can imagine what the bumper would look like down the road, with rock chips etc.,
and rust.
Thanx, for your time.

In my experience, "chrome" bumpers are the ones that get the disgusting rust spots on them, not painted ones. Ask the dealer to throw in some 3M, even if its just on the bumper if your worried about it.

I've had adaptive cruise in my vehicles for the last 10 years. I wouldn't buy a vehicle without it. The safety features are just that, safety features. Either you want them or you don't.
Must haves would be 36gal tank. Tailgate step. Max tow inc. tow mirrors if you're going to tow. I would assume the King Ranch comes with Leather and other upgraded items.
Have fun and enjoy your new truck.
Big gas tank = MUST
Seats with massage = Must NOT (uncomfortable)
I've grown to REALLY enjoy the adaptive cruise and lane keeping on my longer interstate drives. I think those come STD in the king ranch tech package (?)
Warning: FX4 = harsh ride when not towing
$495 for spray in bedliner? Skip it and go to a LineX shop.

I got all the ones I could for my trim level, cab, so no power running boards, or massaging seats but everything else...
And I'm very glad I did.. Love the adaptive cruise control and lane keeping, 360 cameras, tailgate step, spotlights, navigation, moonroof. I use them all and would miss them..
All depends on what you can afford and your needs/wants..
Only one I wouldn't do again is the factory spray in liner,,, would rather spend the extra money to get a full bedrug ...
