Default Oops... Did I break something?

Hi everyone - I am hoping you can give me some input on whether or not you think I damaged anything? Check out the video link below: Listen at the end for a "click". I was not able to tell if it was from the truck or forklift.

First time truck owner and I made a big mistake by not asking how much a pallet of tile weighed that I was picking up for a friend. Turns out the pallet weight 2,080 lbs and, well, you can see what the max I should be putting in the bed based off the sticker below....

Truck drives fine and there doesn't seem to be a problem. But the click scared me and I am not mechanical and wouldnt know what to look for if something was wrong...

2.7 lariat 2x2

Thank you for the help

the guy loading (or you) probably should have stopped before the truck sagged that much... I'm not an expert but if you broke something (spring, axle...) you would definitely feel it.

take it as a "could have been very expensive" lesson...

I would have been more worried about blowing out the side wall of your tire then breaking something in the rear suspension.....

You have nothing to worry about as far as the weight, not sure what the click was, I am a tile guy and all I use my truck for in moving skids of tile and cement, it over your payload yes but door payload capacities are way on the side of no lawsuits

The 1447 pounds is not how much you can carry in the truck bed, but the max capacity of the truck including any aftermarket accessories and passengers. In this case I doubt if anything was broken...these things are truly built Ford Tough and people unfortunately overload them all the time.

That's what it looked like to me...

Did it damage the gate or the bed of the truck at all?

I had 3400 pounds of top soil in the bed of my 2010 and didn't brake anything. I would say between the fork lift operator and the owner they need to learn how correctly load a truck bed with a fork lift.

Before anybody calls BS I do have the weight slip and the post is in the 2009 to 14 forum yes I was stupid and yes the truck handled it with no problem

I put 4,500 pounds of broken concrete thinking it was not more then a ton before in a Uhaul rental F150 and the 5.0 took it like a champ. I would never do that again but these trucks have *****. Sounded like the tailgate but it's hard to tell.

Sounds like your leaf springs de-arching. I wouldn't worry about it to much, if it drives ok. I would look over the rear suspension just to make sure nothing looks out of place.
