Anyone in the Chicago area with FORScan that would be willing to unlock the trailer brake controller from the BCM? I installed the controller in my 16 XLT Supercrew 4x4. and before I go to the dealership fig Id ask.

I'm in southern Wisconsin. Glad to help if you head north sometime soon.

Honestly, though, it's super-easy to do yourself. The dongle is cheaper than the gas money for the trip up here!

Installing running Windows on a Mac is pretty easy these days if you want to go that route.

Again, I'd rather find someone willing to open my truck and pay them in a case of liquid refreshment then spend 100+ $ on programing that Ill use once or twice.

Sounds like you scored a great deal on that Dell. I did the same thing, I paid more ($380 CDN) and picked up a government surplus HP Elitebook 840 G2 just to use with forscan. I added MS office for $30 with a licence from kinguin.net so now I have a half decent backup laptop if I break my macbook. I also bought the OBD cable that is recommended in the Forscan document, downloaded the drivers for it and it works great.

If you were in Louisville I'd say come on by. Of course I'd require some Crown Royal.
