Anyone switched from a standard type tailgate with the regular handle to the one with the electronic handle? If so what needs to be done to make it all function?

 

Don't do it. The solenoid that opens the tailgate with the "electronic handle" is a horrible design. Mine failed at 60k miles. I had an extended warranty (dealer provided - another story). It would have cost me $600 at the dealer to repair. I was able to jerk my tailgate open before it completely failed. If I hadn't, I would have had to destroy my locked tonneau cover for the repair.

Well I really dont have much choice. I am converting a truck to a Raptor and the Raptor tailgate is all powered so I really want to make it work. I am in need of wiring diagrams etc.
