Default OEM knockoffs?

So, after trying to search the threads on here, I couldn't find anything on this site I found for OEM parts. It's www.fordpartscatalog.com. With so many posts about Amazon and eBay sellers having knockoffs, and websites
also looking like legit companies, trust is an issue these days. I had gone as far as putting the item I needed into the "shopping cart", just to see what shipping would be, I saw where it had "Add note to seller", which typically
is what you find on eBay. So this made me question if this is an eBay seller with a nice site, or are they legit and sell OEM parts. Spark plugs on vehicles to make a differnce these days, not like it used to when there was a
cross reference from one brand to another. Has anyone used these guys, and are they legit? Please don't comment on how I can get these at my local parts store like Auto Zone, the savings on a set of plugs with shipping
is over $15 dollars, plus my gas to go drive out for them. Thank you in advance for anyone who can let me know. Oh, I have a 2018 F150 screw with 5.0.

They look legit, ... I compared 2 things to fordpartsgiant.com, and FPG was cheaper. As long as you are satisfied and you got legit stuff, its all good.

Not to change the subject but what is wrong with RockAuto? I've found them very hard to beat on prices and the do carry OEM parts. Shipping can be a game with them sometimes but all in all still the best in town.

Spark Plugs listing have largely gone out of control for cross reference and even out of date.
Ford Plugs are made by NGK.
NGK has their own Id numbering.
The Numbering as sold to Ford for production line engines has Ford's number.
Those made for after-market sale, including dealers and all other vendors, use the SP #. and or Ford designation
The Motorcraft boxing for Plugs have both Ford and SP info on the Boxes as well as Gap spec.
It's all a matter of independent business (separations).
Motorcraft is also a separate operation.
Example for the 5L engine is SP 589, CYFS-12Y-T6 are one and the same except for porcelain ID may be different at times depending on who the vendor is and where stock shipped from.
Look up this plug and see more info on this plug's fitment.
The T6 on the end is the Heat range. The characters before it are the build of the plug etc.
All the information unfortunately is not a simple look-up but a series to be linked until the full understanding is achieved.
Arriving at a vendor description often show these end results.
If using a Plug from a different mfger, they may be close but not exactly the same for construction or heat range.
AC Delco has a plug for the 5L . not built the same but close. Imo a bit on the hot side but will still work fine but may open gaps faster, just as an example I have tried. Could also be a difference in Tip metals used. plug center porcelain is deeper and combustion indication evidence of a Hotter plug range, as example.
Good luck.

Absolutely nothing for new things. Based on a popular youtuber's experience with them, I would stay away from their special sale items.

Can you explain what you mean by shipping can be a game with them?

So with three companies that were stated in this thread, which are you saying one should avoid? And can you put the link to the YouTube you mentioned?

Rock Auto ships from several different warehouses. If you compile an order to include a few things i.e. spark plugs may come from warehouse A while the filters from warehouse B then the wipers come from C they will charge separate shipping for each. If all items are coming from warehouse B there is a single charge and most likely the same as if it were only 1 item. Now that isn't to say all spark plugs come from the same warehouse and filters a different one. They ship from where the parts are in stock. So the game is to find what you need and have it all come from one location otherwise shipping fees pile up. In my case I've found instances, though rare, where it was cost effective to go to the local auto parts store especially if in a time crunch.
Another thing I've noticed with Rock Auto is they have dumped the USPS as their basic shipping partner. The last two orders I placed came via UPS.

Reality for me is, I buy most of my ford parts from a local dealer, via Fordparts.com. Having said that, I also use Rockauto for items like: oil, filters, plugs etc. I have bought from FPG, but they have the highest charges for handling.

The youtuber is this one, i believe:

I've seen a few dealerships do this, where they pick a URL and branding for their parts site that makes it look almost like you're buying "direct" from Ford, which you can't really. The physical address for "Ford Parts Catalog" coincidentally is the physical address for Mitchell Selig Ford in Windsor, Connecticut. It's just a dealership that's trying to get their online parts business a leg up by kind of pretending to be Ford.
