OEM dashcam
#22
I've done a lot of research on dashcams recently. There's only 3 I would consider: Viofo A129, Thinkware F800 2 ch, Blackvue 900 2ch.
The Viofo A129 has great reviews and is the least expensive of the 3.
Thinkware and Blackvue are neck and neck. Depending on the features you are looking for, one is better than the other.
I picked up the Blackvue and hardwired it in through my fuse box and used the Power Magic Pro voltage cut off to protect my battery while in parking mode.
I love having the dash cam. Other than some of the obvious reasons to get one... I recently brought my truck into the dealership and was able to watch what they did with my truck. They looked at it for 30 mins in total, it sat for an hour and a half after they looked at it before they called me to come pick it up. Its nice being able to see stuff like that. I always assumed my dealership was full of people who don't care about the customer, now I know that they don't care. ha.

I have the Blackvue 900 2-channel system with the power magic pro installed in my wifes car. The blackvue is a nice system, clarity of the video is incredible. Software is easy to manipulate if you need to download an event.
Prior to purchasing it came down to the Blackvue 900 or the Nexbase 512.
When I get a few pennies running up hill I plan on installing a system in my truck.
Shoot forgot to mention the front camera had a kodak facial moment and the rear camera caught the license plate # of vandals in the church parking lot one week after installed.

Good dashcam = Viofo A129 Duo
Your money would be better spent on a $230 Viofo A129 Duo camera that has front and rear cameras with much newer sensors and optics. https://www.amazon.ca/VIOFO-2-Channe...s%2C287&sr=8-3
