observations so Far
Ive been on the forum for about a year now and I have noticed one theme:
people with truck issues seem to have less than 25 posts.
Are they trolls?
do they only come to the forum when they have issues ?
my intent is to find out if their gripes are legitimate
For example; our trucks are mass produced so it is inevitable that there will be trucks with defects or issues. but its difficult to differentiate B.S. from legit issues
your thoughts

but there are some threads that I suspect are trolls due to the pictures
one guy had a pic of a truck with no plates but he claimed to be from California
California uses Rear plates
It's just like everything else. People are more likely to get online and post about problems than they are to post about the good experiences. From November 2015 through November 2016 Ford sold 733,287 F150's. There are bound to be some buyers with bad experiences. I had to have the master cylinder replaced at 6000 miles because the brake pedal would go to the floor and the truck wouldn't stop. I was bummed that I had to take it back to the dealer, but they fixed it and gave me a loaner truck while they had mine. I did come to the forum and ask questions about this issue, but I never complained about how PO'ed I was that Ford sold me a bad product. These things are massed produced and it is impossible to get them all to the consumer with absolutely no issues. My biggest thing would be how the dealer and Ford go about handling the problem. We all spend a lot of money to drive these things. We just need to keep our expectations reasonable. I'm sure that some owners have legitimate complaints, but I see far more post on here about the good than the bad. The good post just don't draw as much attention as the bad ones so we tend to fixate on them.
I for one am currently a proud owner of 2 Fords (F150 and 14 Fusion) and have found the quality and driving experience to be superior to the last few vehicles (not Ford's) that I have owned.

Most people do not go to the forum to say "I love my problem free truck!" They just drive and go merrily on their way. Ford sold over 800k F-series last year. Even if only 500k of those were F150s, when you see the number here with issues and even double or triple (or quadruple it) and it is a small percentage of the trucks on the road. (and then you have to consider that the people here are from 15-17, representing over a million F150s!)
So yes, forums tend to draw the people with issues. A few of us come here because we want to see customizations, and get ideas for doing similar to our trucks. I'd say 75%-90% come here because they have an issue, or a at least a question.

side fact. Steve jobs would lease his benz for only 6 months and get the exact same model/color just to not put plates on

Wow- I don't know what is in the mind of the OP - I read the forum to find out all manner of different facts, issues, and information about the vehicle that I own. I did post in the "gripe" thread to point out some of the differences between the 2016 and my former '09 model, aspects which I feel Ford has let us down on. I have also asked a couple of questions in threads that have fallen deep into the forum without comment.
I guess that I have a low post count because I don't keep posting endless BS threads containing the words "pulled the trigger", I don't "build" by painting emblems, I don't care about crap like "leveling", "stance", "lifting" or Raptor parts. My stock wheels are just fine, thanks, and I don't need to post pics to show off that I have them. I know the difference between "brakes" and "breaks", as well.
I appreciate that there is useful and interesting information on the forums about my vehicle - by the way, it is not a "car" - that adds the my ownership experience.
Who is trolling here exactly?
Putting my post count up by one more,
