Hi all,

I've been a lurker for several years after having spent way too much time on the build and price website since fall of 2014. Last month I finally bought a 2018 platinum, 701a, 6.5, max tow, fx4, panoroof, magnetic. I had initially wanted to order a platinum or king ranch with a 5.0 (mainly as an uninformed buyer after hearing about "fake engine noise" on this forum). Plus, used to have a Volvo many years ago with a turbo and the lag always kinda bugged me. Also, wanted the longer bed for my surfboards and didn't want to get a leaky pano roof. Well, the local dealer got a platinum with a 6.5 bed and I finally just went for it since it was an okay deal with the 0% financing.

I've had the truck for a month and love it. So far, I've used forscan to disable driver seatbelt alarm. I had anticipated turning off fake engine noise and auto stop/start, but neither the fake engine noise nor as/s really bother me.

Also, added the illuminated door sills from the SD platinum and the LED under the console shifter indicator. I'll post reviews of those in the appropriate threads.

thanks to all who've posted so much great information on here. felt like I made an educated purchase and what to expect with my new truck.
