Default Idle time vs. engine hours

I've got 19 idling hours and a total of 128 engine hours. Is that about average or not? Seems like a lot of idling to me. I did get 21.3 on my last tank using 87 octane "tractor gas". As in no ethanol to kill mileage. Gained maybe 2 mpg but at 30 cents more a gallon I don't know if it will pay out. Going to give it a try for awhile. 5500 miles to date on my pickup.

I wish I could get ethanol free for 30c more. Reg E10 here is $2.249 and reg E0 is 2.999. I love ethanol free but $0.75 more doesn't make it worth it. Then if I want premium its $3.459 vs $2.649.

5500 miles with 128 engine hours is an average of about 43 mph over the lifetime of the truck. I'd say that's pretty good, lots of highway-type driving that's generally easy on the vehicle.

I'm not sure but I think it counts as idle time if you are going 0 MPH and the engine is running AKA sitting at a stoplight.

My 2016 2.7 XLT 4x4 has 803 engine hours with 82 hours of idle time. I'm about to flip 29,900 miles. Lots of city driving here near Saint Paul, MN.

I lived in Pa but near the NJ border, gas is about $.18-.20/gallon cheaper. Filled up today at $2.35/gallon, 87 octane and 10% ethanol.
