Yes,, this is why lots of us just get the MX Bluetooth one as it automatically switches,, no wires,, and it's proven to work good..

(I still haven't pulled the trigger on doing the FORSCAN thing. Besides the learning curve, there's the home things to consider. To wit: "you want to spend how much more on the truck?" As I'd have to get the adapter and a BT dongle at minimum since I know that trying to get a whole new laptop isn't in the budget.)
