Default OBD-II data logger features

Kind of a generic question, but what kinds of features would you personally like to see in an OBD-II data logger/monitor? I'm working on programming a lightweight data logger that gives me the ability to monitor OBD2 data in a simple, easy to read format, but also logs the data directly into csv format, or even straight into Excel where I can manipulate the data further on my PC. Those that use off-the-shelf loggers, are there any capabilities you wish it had but aren't available? Are there any correlations you would like to see as standard output? Is there any data processing you wish you had access to? Some things I came up with off the top of my head: speed/boost/mileage/etc histograms, idle time tracking, 0-60 tracking (and vice versa), closed loop readouts, GPS integration, trouble code logging, time stamps on everything...

I know Forscan and tons of others already have this capability, but i'm looking to make something simple, where all the data is in a uniform format and easily (and continuously) retrievable. Plus I want to work on my python coding skills, so this is a pet project of mine.

I got some great feedback from other forums that I've posed this question to. I'm mainly just looking for input on your experience with other products and what you find most useful (or what you wish you had). I'll definitely post my source code and a how-to in the future if there is interest. Thanks for the help!
