Ive been in stop and go traffic for about 25 minutes and it’s 102* outside. Should this gauge be halfway?
I notice sometimes it take forever to move even a little bit. My truck clunks when you put it in reverse and then go from reverse to drive when cold.
Yes, especially if it's not a 5.0 which has a trans warmer. You can check the gauge to display the actual temp in degrees as well. That same section you're in that shows the digital speed: If you press the up/down arrows you'll eventually see a page that shows trans temp.
Also, what year is your truck? It's weird seeing PRNDM for the gear indicator... My 2015 has PRNDM21

ok thank you. It’s an ‘18 3.5 ecoboost with 10 speed
Only the 15's and some 16's have the PRND12. I know my 09 would sometimes run cool in stop and go traffic, especially if the go was only creeping forward. Not sure if it has to do with the lack of work the transmission is doing or maybe how fluid flows when sitting still.

It is my understanding that all the 10 speeds have a trans warmer. And when you're sitting in traffic the transmission isn't working very hard so I would say it's perfectly normal.
