Well, I finally broke down & put my stock exhaust back on my 2.7 Eco. I tried 3 different exhaust systems & even added a resonator back in. I just came to the conclusion that the EcoBoost should be seen & not heard. I've only ever owned V8's. I just can't get over the sound an EcoBoost makes, I know it's not a V8, but IMO if it doesn't have 8 cylinders to make it rumble, then it shouldn't be heard. I'll just have to sacrifice that 8hp & 10tq @ 6K rpm for a nice quiet ride.....lol

Agree. The 5.0 sounds great as is, and even better with an aftermarket exhaust. I haven't heard an aftermarket exhaust on an ECO that sounds remotely good

Not sure if you've looked into it, but a lot of EB owners seem to like the sound of just a muffler delete. The sound of the motor definitely is a big difference coming from a v8.

I recently put an amp on my stereo and new door speakers and the v6 sounds like a race car now
