Default No REAL STX replacement

So I have had a 2013 STX with the 201 package. It was a good value especially with the FX4 rims. The new 2015 XL, not so much. First, you dont even get the rims with the 201 package. Then there is an additional "sport package" the upgrades you from crappy 17" rims to slighty less crappy 17" rims. The past Stx trucks were big sellers around here since they had descent feature at a great price. Just annoyed by that as a future buyers.

I here what your saying. I saw a 14 stx and thought it was an fx4 lol. It seems the choices are less for the 15s.
But on my area there are almost no stx so maybe they weren't a big seller on the whole scale of things.

Exactly what I was going to say. It's an XLT with the sport package and whatever other options you put to it from there.

I am not very familiar with the XLT line but the older STX was a great value and a good looking truck for the money. I had 2 of them.

From what I have seen even a stripped down XLT would be a lot more expensive than the STX. I test drove and XLT that is no where near as nice as my truck and it was almost 50k with options. Made no sense that it was ordered like that.

A replacement would be closer to a 201 XL with the sport package. Even then you are looking at $40k vs. $35k for similiar last gen 5.0 STX 4x4 SCAB. You could usually get one for around $30k which was popular here in Wisconsin where most have cheaper trucks for winter and nicer cars for summer.

If you are lucky, you might get a new "STX Replacement" for $35k, but that is still $5k more plus you get crappier rims. Maybe an excuse to skip the $800 sport package and spend that on nicer rims and tires. plus you get a lot more color choices if you skip the sport package.

Comparing a 101a (XL) to a 300a (XLT). I can't find anything that the 300a has that the 101a does not. It also costs $2,000 more. Also, you can't get the 36 gallon tank with the 300a
