Default No pre wired sub?

Hi All - I ordered the VGL3Z-18808-A for my 2018 Lariat super crew, 501A Sport Pkg. I peeled back the weather stripping on the driver side rear door and am not seeing the pre-wired harness behind the c-pillar. I could be misunderstanding, but was under the impression the pre-wired harness should be there. Has anyone ran into a similar issue? Or maybe my package shouldn't have it?

Here are some pic of what I am seeing.

Thanks in advance.

Do you not have the B&O system? never mind, see that comes with the 502 package.

Thank you for the reply. No B&O system.
I pulled back the housing by the c-pillar and there is no sign of the harness whatsoever.

I think it's only available on the XLT trim level. I installed the Kicker Sub in mine and it was plug and play. If you truck has it, you will easily see it pulling the weather-strip back like you did. I think my plug was on the end of that green wire if I'm not mistaken.

Thanks. I didn’t realize it was limited to the XLT trim level. The unit seems to fit perfectly. Can anyone confirm Lariats do not support this?

I took the truck to the dealer yesterday, they took apart the pillars with no luck in finding the plug. They looked up in a system and said its not setup/pre wired for this upgrade. I would love to figure out a way to get this installed rather than sending it back. Has anyone installed this via an alternative method without the pre-wired plug?

Thanks

Run a power cable from the fuse panel, tap into the rear speakers for a signal, and ground to any big bolt in the area.

Kicker makes two kits for the F150. The unit with the plug behind the door pillar is for the XLT. The other unit they make includes a power wire to the battery and tapping into your speaker wires. I'm not 100% sure, but I think the unit that requires a power wire is 200 watts, where the XLT version is 100 watts. They look the same and mount the same, just have different installations.

Hope get it worked out! Love mine in my XLT.

This is incorrect - For 2015 to 2017, the trucks are pre-wired across all trims. I have a 2016 Lariat 501a and installed the 100W Kicker using the pre-existing plug.

Sounds to me that a change was made to the 2018 models. It's possible that 2018 XLTs are the only ones pre-wired but my guess is this change applies to all trims.

2018 XLT 302a package, mine was prewired for the Sub. To be honest I wouldn't spend the money on the kicker, I have it and wish I saved money and went aftermarket.
