Based on sketchy results for this thing, and not many samples, I decided just to get one XM portable subscription with XM all access, and use my phone/cell bandwidth for XM. This will be done in a couple of months, when my 1 year discount XM subs run out.

I'm late to the game here but I just got the Naviks $100 USB adapter for my Sync3 King Ranch. The pics I had seen on the Naviks web page were of a one piece unit with the USB plug built into the body of the device. When I opened my package I had a device body with a short (2-3"?) cable to the USB plug. My first thought was "I've been scammed." But when I plugged it into my truck the thing works perfectly. It shows up in my sources as a USB device but it's not labeled "AUX" like they indicate - just the USB icon. I have no problem with this at all because it was such an easy solution. My plan is to use an XM module I can swap between vehicles instead of having to pay for multiple devices. I also find the Bluetooth connection between my phone and truck to be very finicky and I only want to be able to play iHeart Radio from my phone. It will work via the Bluetooth connection but it is always dropping the connection or I have to make multiple attempt for an initial connection. I mostly listen to talk programs so I'm not concerned about the sound quality of music. This will solve my problem. I found the Naviks here in this thread so THANKS! It does work.

Unless I am missing something here, why do you need a bluetooth connection to listen to iheart radio with sync3? I just plug my phone in and use android auto and listen to talk radio every day.

The part you're missing is that my truck does not have Android Auto.

You have a 15? Sorry I can't see signatures on my phone if you have it there.

Hello everyone!
I found this forum in August 2020 via a Google search and it led me to the purchase of the "Ford Sync 3 USB to 3.5MM Aux Adapter" available from Naviks.
https://naviks.com/i-24076199-ford-s...x-adapter.html
I can verify that the unit works with the Sync system in my 2020 Ford Fusion. It's pricey at $100 but it works.
I'm using it with my XM Radio XPressR portable unit. I purchased a lifetime subscription on the unit back in 2009 so it was worth the $100 investment to keep that little radio going.
