Default XM Sirius Portable unit for Sync 3

Not seeing much information on this, I have an "2018 Sync 3,8" screen" it came with Sirius with a 6month trial & not looking to give them anymore money. I have a portable sirius xm unit with lifetime, that I like using between my truck & car, i noticed it didn't come with a 3.5 aux jack so I bought a FM modulator, not only does the sound suck & I constantly have to change stations it's also interfering with my navigation? Looking if anyone found an alternative that would work? wouldn't mind swapping the double usb with a unit that has one usb & 3.5, seen them on older models Fords but not sure if it would work with the Sync 3 ?

I found this with a quick Google search. Ford sync 3 USB to 3.5mm adaptor. It's a little pricey but it actually specifies sync 3.

3.5mm to Bluetooth adapters are cheap and work just fine. You can set it up as a media device and also have your phone as a phone device so they'll both work with their intended functions.

You just need a simple FM transmitter to plug into your kids DVD player....then just set the FM to the same station as on the transmitter.

You may have to switch channels depending on the area you are in, but I always find around 88.0 to 89.9 a good range when I was using them

Something like this should work.

I just tried connecting my Iphone 5s to the USB port with a Lightning Cord and the Music was playing over my 2018 F-150 XLT (301A). At first, the music played over Bluetooth. I shut off the Bluetooth, re-selected the Iphone and the music played over the lightning cable.

I bought a SirusXM FDMA25 direct FM adapter and also the aftermarket antenna connection adapters for Ford radios (for the antenna in/out).

This guy does a good job explaining it,

No the older USB modules with the 3.5mm plug will not work with Sync 3. Sorry.

Thats interesting. I don't trust them so I sent a question to them: has it been tested with Sync 3 and is there is a user manual I can download. I want to know if/how it shows up as an audio source on the Sync 3 screen.

Please identify one you know has been tested to work with Sync 3.

Anything going from mini pin to Bluetooth would work. Just charge it up and follow the instructions for pairing. Sync3 has nothing to do with it as it's just a standard Bluetooth protocol.
Amazon Amazon
should work in tx mode.
