No 2.7 Payload Package for Lariat in the US?
Why does it seem that Canada gets better deals and better options? I see some guys on the forum have the 2.7L PP on a Lariat, though they are in Canada. Sure enough you can build a Lariat with the 2.7L PP on ford.ca, while you are only limited to the XLT and XL in the US?
Is there a way to work with Ford to get some options that seem only available for Canada? Even though I live in the US, the closet large city is Toronto, though they are unwilling to sell to US citizens, unless I am buying used.
Also the price they sell new cars are remarkable, once you take into account the exchange rate.

I've also noticed this the past couple of years. We're finally getting really good deals up here that work out cheaper than in the States when you work out the exchange rate. My fully loaded XLT (with moonroof) from 2015 was $46k CAD (~$37K USD) but you can get better deals now than back in 2015.

Not only are the Canadian Fords cheaper, they are better equipped for packages. The Canadian 500A (base) Lariat is the same as the US 501A, with the exception of the US 501A having BLIS. If you opt for the 501A in Canada, you get the sound system, Nav, and Sync-Connect.
I guess Ford thinks US citizens are suckers.

Yeah it doesn't make sense considering they're built in the US. Mine's a 302A with the payload package built at the Dearborn plant. Maybe it's a website configuration problem that won't let you build that combo, who knows.

In Canada, you can't get a 701A in a Platinum. Have to start out with the 700A then add whatever was missing. But here the larger tank is standard, the 6.6 box doesn't cost extra. There are many more things, but those stood out when I was building a Platinum.

The 2018 F-150 Order Guide shows it optional on XL and XLT, and on XLT, is only available with the 300A package.
