Default Nitpicks and Praises

Just reached 800 miles. Lariat Sport 502A 3.55 is fantastic. Just wanted to make a short list of some nitpicky items....and a wishlist of tweaks...

1. When stepping out of truck for a minute for whatever...I wish the horn didn't have to beep twice. Not good at night in quiet neighborhood. (Workaround: I just keep door ajar)

2. Wish the reverse sensor beeping was a bit louder and more sensitive.
(Backup cam and 360 cam are good but beeps really help too)

3. Wish the buttons on the doors stayed LIT when you first open doors after pressing engine off button. All the other buttons on dash and console stay lit...Why not on the doors? (Makes it hard to see the lock button when leaving truck)

4. FAN for climate control seems pretty WEAK on the highest setting. You figure a big truck like this would give you a tornado if u wanted it.

5. The physical FAN button for climate control is hard to reach down low and not easily adjusted.(I do use the MFT fan button too but sometimes i want a quick adjustment when I'm in another screen)

6. HORN on steering wheel needs a pretty good amount of force to work....and you have to press in just the right spot or there's no Beep.

7. Reverse Camera lens gets pretty dirty....pretty quick.

8. Don't care for the flashing circle around the Nav red arrow.

But with all the features this truck has...that's a pretty short list.
The positives greatly outway these nitpicks. My favorite features so far not mentioned much are......

*Accurate real-time weather radar on nav on 8" MFT
Also accurate nearby GAS STATION prices on screen.

*Cross Traffic Alert while backing out of parking spots works great!

*Adaptive Cruise is MAD..uses Acceleration AND BRAKING to maintain selected distance.

*HEATED SEATS and STEERING wheel is a WIN!

*Rain sensing Wipers are great. Set it..and forget it.

Thats it...for now.

You forgot the local movie listings and show times at the touch of a screen!

In the Nav section...under Settings..NavLync or something...sorry..not in truck now...

Forecast...5 day outlook...nearby gas stations with current prices for comparing.....nearby theatres with listings and times.....coffee shops....convenience stores nearby....restaurants by selectable food style...i.e. Italian...mexican...

Find what u want in listing...tap on it and it shows on map and u can set it to voice route with one touch...
And much more...

I'll add a tiny, tiny nitpick. Really tiny. As has been discussed, the adaptive cruise is incredible. Now that I have it, not having it would be like living without a DVR. That said, I wish the throttle was a little less aggressive when it knew that it was time to accelerate. It's like every other vehicle that I've ever driven with cruise, in that when you hit 'resume', it tries to get to the MPH set point in two seconds. Look, you're on the highway, you'll be OK if it takes ten seconds instead of two to go from 64 MPH to 70 MPH.

Yeah it's a bit scary when the lane opens up and the truck guns it! Especially with slow moving vehicles on both sides of you.
It also would be nice if it worked below the 5-10mph cut off.
