Default new struts

Are the "RWD" front struts the same as the "4x4" struts?
i know some vehicles they are different because of the front CV shafts. but our trucks the strut is off to the side. are they the same? same location? height difference?

No, the RWD spring perch is lower than the 4x4 struts by about an inch an a half or so. Someone may chime in with the exact difference. I think there is a thread on the lowering forum that shows the RWD and 4x4 side by side. The higher spring perch gives 4x4 trucks their higher front end. Otherwise same location, and in fact, interchangeable if you want to raise/lower the front. See threads on "lowering a 4wd with 2wd struts" etc.
