Also, in terms of handling, MAJOR IMPROVEMENT over a stock truck. Whether it’s the difference in height or the coil overs themselves, the truck is much firmer when taking corners, and also no brake dive.

Just a tidbit also, I ordered mine from 5 star tuning. There is a coupon/promo code floating online if you google it. I got these for $317 for the set if memory serves me right.

Does F-150’Forum have an app? Would be much easier to keep tabs on this thread.

Thanks!

KT

I know it's only been a few days. Are you still liking the N3's?

Thanks.

Hey Stever,

i travel a lot for work and have put over 2k miles on these. They handle great still and the truck feels better than stock still. I’m very happy with the choice I made on these.

Thanks for this! I am looking for this exact set up.

got a reasonable quote from a dealer for the install! I like that it’s a firmer ride. How is it on daily bumps compared to stock?

Can you send a full side profile picture?

Had the RC leveling struts installed today along with Wildpeak AT3W in 275/70r18 on my 2017 Screw. First impression after about 25 miles of driving is that the truck rides sightly more firm, which I like. No more floatiness like I had with the OEM set up. Have rears that I'll install this weekend.

It's raining and drizzly here today, so I didn't get a chance to get any pics or measure the height difference from stock yet.

please post pix! What are you doing in the back... ordering the springs on Friday or Saturday, spoke to RC today and they said backorder until the 15th which is fine because I can’t do the install before then.

did you have to do an alignment after?

So install on the Rough Countrys were good. Ride is slightly firmer than stock. Not very noticeable. If you like the way your truck rides stock, this would be a good buy. It lifted my truck about 2”, still left almost a 1/2” of rake.

Install was easy, I’ve done 2 different leveling kit installs on the generation before these (with the single bolt for the lower coilover rather than the 2) and I honestly prefer those better. It is a pain to get the stock coilover out because the stock bottom bolts on the stock coilover are pressed in. You will have to remove the dust cap and unbolt the cv to allow enough movement to get the stock coilover out. After stock is out though, the Rough Country’s are easy to install. First impressions? I like them, they perform exactly as described. Would bilsteins ride better? Possibly, but didn’t have to remove the spring and mess with any of that from the stock setup. Would fox ride better? Probably, but I didn’t spend $800 . I didn’t want the Ranchos based on the negative reviews, so that really just leaves these. 3 year warranty from Rough Country and this is supposed to be RC‘s latest and greatest shock design. We will see! I can answer any questions y’all have. I wanted to get more pics of the install and comparison, but honestly I was so ready to get them on I didn’t do my due diligence. I do have the after picture. Big difference with everything done to the truck.
Interesting to hear you say they ride firmer than stock. I had the N3 rear shocks on my truck and wasn't super impressed. They were as good as stock, but I thought stock shocks sucked.

I don't mind the stock struts as much though. I'd like to hear what you think longer term. I have been considering bumping my lift up to 6 inches, and this would be an easy way to do the front. I'd likely do an add a leaf in the rear.

Got the N3s for the rear. If I don't like them, I'll get Bilsteins.

I'd waited for about 2 weeks for the fronts to show up to the dealer. And I did get an alignment.

I kept the stock fronts. If something happens to the RC fronts, I can replace them, or get some Bilsteins.

I just got these installed. Absolutely love them. Ride feels just like stock. Seems as of right now to be absorbing bumps / rail road tracks much better than stock.

took some rough measurements before and after from the center of the hubs.

front before was 21”
Front after was 23”

Back measures the same at roughly 23.25” to 23.5”

I will be raising the bed just don’t know what I want to do yet.

I’m running 275 70 R18 KO2s as well.

here are some before and after pics.
