Wrong year for this thread but I picked up the whole set for my 2012. Price dropped $70 and got $100 off for signing up for Amazon cc. $370 with Tax for the set.

Default Done!

It’s done! Had my RC level coils done today! Really bad pic will take another in the sun and show before and after.

knee jerk reactions from driving home

love the height and view in the front
much less (or no) nose dive on breaking
wayyyyyyy better on corner, much firmer than the boat body roll of stock

so far so happy! Haven’t measured or anything yet but will

better after pic

OP here, What started as a mild build with leveling kit is really taking shape.

Glad to see all the interest sparked in RC’s leveling shocks. I have 8K on my set since install and the truck is doing great with no issues or concerns.

Got real lucky and scored a set of BMF/SOTA Novakanes. Just traded for my sport wheels. I couldn’t pass It up! I still need to do some polishing and buffing to really clean them up, but they look great on the truck. 20x9 with a 0 offset for specs.

can u send some close up of the wheels? Did u originally have 18? How is the ride difference? Any drop in mpg with the tires?

Originally 20” wheels. No ride difference, handling is improved as these are not as Inset as the OEM wheels. Tires are 275/60, 33x11.5, so only 1” bigger than stock. They are also XL rated, basically a step down from an LT, the tires only weigh a couple more than the stock wranglers. Minimal difference in mpg with tires, but the leveling kit did drop it by about 1-2mpg.

I am a little confused by this... You put on those tires which are larger and XL rated but blame the MPG drop on the level? I did this level on my truck as you can see but left the OEM tires. MPG dropped by .2 but I am attributing that to Winter Gas not the level (I did the level right as winter gas hit the area). I would say ur MPG is due to the tires or am I missing something?

These trucks come from ford with a rake partly for aerodynamics. Leveling it ruins the aerodynamics.
I can speak definitely on this because the tires were on before I put the level. I travel 3k miles a month for work and there was some time between putting the tires on and the level to verify.

Furthermore, the biggest reason why tires cause a drop in fuel mileage is not just because you put a bigger tire on (even though it may throw the speedometer off) it’s because you put on a tire that increases the rotational mass (weight) that the truck is pushing around. Stock wranglers weigh 41 lbs each, these Nittos are 47lbs each. When I was researching this, the LT version of this Same tire and size is 59lbs each. That’s a big difference.

i did the same setup, level and XL 33” Nittos with a 2913 F-150 and had very similar results.👍🏻

Also, my guess at 1-2 mpg difference isn’t exact unfortunately. My speedometer is off by about 2mph at 70mph. If it were corrected it would show better. I just know on the same long commutes, I would get 22mpg consistently and with the same commute, I’m sitting around 19mpg as the truck sits. Not quite hybrid, but not bad! Lol

Thanks for the follow up! I guess I didn’t think of the level as dropping mpg. Ur are right about the tire size and weight ect just saying those look beefy (and awesome)

at this point in time I think I drive too much to tear through tires but that may change

No worries! Just been my experience so far. You can tell I’m **** when it comes to researching this kind of stuff. The XL sizes in these Nitto’s are a really good deal IMO since you don’t miss much fuel mileage and they run pretty inexpensive. These Ridge Grapplers rum 228/Ea on tirebuyer.,com.

i was in the same boat as you worrying about the fuel, but I recommend this route as a good in between.😎

Also thanks for the compliments! I’m pretty infatuated with my truck. Lol
