It is welded wrong. it is one big structure that supports the rear bumper also. You can see where the parts if they were lined up it would probably be straight with the frame. It's like they needed a jig to set it up to weld it or if they had one they decided not to use it.

the truck is going back to the dealer today and if they don't fix all this stuff it's getting lemon lawed. It's too bad I really like the design the way it drives and all but too many issues

Good luck... That's absolutely insane responses. I'd be requesting the service manager go out there with you to look at the ridiculous hitch angle. Go in there with the dirt bike mount attached to accentuate the issue the way it looks on here in pics. I would be throwing a complete fit.

Well, it is normal. A lot of trucks are like that.

It's wrong, and it shouldn't be that way, but...that's Ford quality control right now

Haven't even checked mine...

Evidently Ford has no quality nor control at this moment in time.

I didn't know that Mr. Magoo had started lining up and welding hitches for Ford

If there weren't so many other problems I'd take the truck to a welder to fix the hitch and let it ride.

it is mounted to the frame; there is a large steel assembly that also holds on the rear bumper.

It is at the "new" dealer now. They said they would replace the hitch- Hallelujah! But that's not to say the new hitch won't be the same...

They are still trying to figure out the noise in 4WL; we were easily able to reproduce it in their lot. It is actually worse now as the whole truck shakes for a while and lots of noises down there.

The transmission slipping they still say is "normal", because it is electronic the transmission becomes "confused" when I shift from reverse or park to forward.

So remember boys (and girls): Don't confuse your truck by shifting it! Maybe I am supposed to push it out of a parking stall so that I don't confuse it by doing something radical like shifting from reverse to forward.

Well hopefully you can get some of the problems taken care of anyway. At least this dealership didn't just blow you off, and say it's normal.
