New Guy Intro & Question.
HELLO F150 FORUM!
I will be a new F150 owner here next month and stoked to step it up to the full size truck after years of the Japanese mid-size world. I've traded in my tampon!!!
I'll most likely be getting a 2WD Lariat (first time I won't have a 4x4 so I'll put half the tampon back in... ugh!) I won't be needing 4x4 where I'm moving.
As will all my trucks the first thing done is to level her out... stink bug is no bueno! I know there are several other threads on here about leveling and I've cruised them all but still can't figure out something. It sounds like the RC 2.5 kit is the best and most appreciated on here... but the RC site only lists a 2" kit. Is this the 2.5 kit everyone is talking about?
I'd like the truck to sit perfectly level (without CV angle issues of course) so does this front only kit level it? I also see that some are doing the front kit with a 1" block? Does this still level the truck?
If adding the 1" block in the back with the front kit will level the truck perfectly and give it a bit more of a 4x4 height this would be the ultimate.
Thanks in advance to all that painfully read this and cheers to those who have the patience to type a reply.

Welcome to the forums! You might get some slack for asking a question about leveling kits, it's been discussed probably a million times on here haha.
The RC level used to be 2.5", but enough people complained that they only netted 2" out of it, so RC changed the name to a 2" level. It's still the same kit. They sell the front spacer by itself, which will pretty much completely level out your truck. They also sell the 1" rear spacer along with the front level. That will put an inch of rake into whatever the front spacer gives you. That should give you the 4x4 look you're wanting.
Hope I was some help.

@speeddemon0712 I figured I'd take some heat for the leveling question... but I couldn't find the answer to the 2.5 vs 2 RC question. Thanks! That was the explanation I needed... wasn't sure if there was also a 2.5" kit.
Your truck is sick and exactly the route I'm going... with a 17x9 rim. I like a little more tire look. I'll be doing a 285/75-17 tire though... a little smaller. Can you post a larger pic of it? I want to drool!
I'd like to get the look of the 1" block in the back but perfectly level... I might make a custom .25" spacer to at to the RC if the bolts are long enough.

@speeddemon0712 TRUCK IS DOPE!
This is my template to go off of. I'm still trying to wrap my head around one thing and that is the 3" block in the back. If the back is already higher how are you sitting level after raising it and then only a 2" lever in the front. Wouldn't the 2" front level the truck with no added block in the back?? Probably a stupid question... but I've only ever done full blown lifts with new coilovers and upper control arms.
Would this setup you have work on a 2WD? They seem to sit a bit lower from the factory than the 4x4's.
Seriously stoked on your rig!!! Well played.

@facepalm
Ah yes... duh.. no drive components in the front means no prob. I think I'm still stunned by the dopeness of @speeddemon0712 rig. She's a beaute Clark!
I really only want to leave mine off with about a total 3" lift as I only want to go with 34" tires and she's gotta fit the garage in the new house.

@speeddemon0712
It looks like your wheels keep the contact tread inside the wells but the rest of the tire just sticks out.... true? If so.. PERFECT!
I am looking at a rim that has a zero offset and wondering what that will do to things?

Super well explained. Thanks.
You like a little bit of rake still with the lift. I've always liked as level as possible. So It sounds like I'll just go with the RC front 2" and see. The 285 tires will give me the additional 4x'ish stance. I may be looking into a 12.5 wide tire after see yours... I thought they'd be to 'balloon' looking with a 17 rim... but I really like it! Your truck is now part of my photo album on my phone!! lol.
