Default Never Seen This Before

This has been coming up on the IPC lately. Didn't even realize this would happen. Finally made a separate trip to Walmart for the batteries and got them installed.

I bought my 2016 used November 17th 2019. The display popped up for me on 11/28/2019.

You have to love technology sometimes. It can keep you out of a bind. Mine did this as well no dead battery.

Times like these are when it's good to know where the secret location is to use the Intelligent key once the battery has called it quits.

Its not so secret if you read the Owner's Manual.

You'd be surprised by how often vehicles get towed in for a no crank when the customer only had to insert the key into or hold it in front of the not-so-secret location, almost no one reads their manual. I've lost count of how many people have come in with a complaint about something not working only to find out that their issue was not understanding how to operate their vehicle. So many complaints about the vent temperature changing with the HVAC set to Auto lol

Now you are just causing trouble!

I'm not sure how I stumbled upon the secret location. It was ironic for me as I had been researching something FOB related to push button vehicles and a few days later I was alerted.

When I was with the ex girlfriend (before we stopped seeing each other), I had to look up how to replace her FOB battery for the Civic. It was during that research I learned they put a key inside the FOB to unlock the door. I think I learned then that the key can be used to start -which is probably what led me to look on how to do it on the Ford too. Something like that but that happened a few years ago and details are vague.
