Default Need some Input on 2016

I'm looking to order a 2016 Lariat Screw 4X4 with 3.5 eco and 502a package. Includes a few other options like tow mirrors and extended range fuel tank. Paperwork I'm given shows MSRP is $57,430 (-$1500 for 502a pkg discount I believe) for a total of $55,930.I received 2 offers from different dealers. One offer is for $51,100 and the other is $150 more. These prices do not include TTL or factory incentives at time of delivery. Invoice price on truck is $51,728, so deal is $600 under invoice. My question is if this is a good deal. I feel like it's not bad, however while looking on this site I see where others are getting thousands under invoice. Am I missing something or is this a good deal? Thanks!

You won't get much from rebates until later on in the year.

I agree there probably won't be much in rebates. Just wondering if negotiated price at dealer is a good deal

You could always try a third dealer. I just ordered a similar truck and my dealer gave me x plan pricing + my trade. Went to another dealer and they gave me price $400.00 under invoice but gave me a grand less on my trade. In the end my dealer was $350.00 cheaper than the other dealer. Lucky for me we had a $1500.00 rebate in the system that we were able to lock in at order time.

Thanks, I went to 5 dealers in all. 2 of them were terrible and the 3rd one I'm still waiting to hear back on. I won't be trading so that won't affect me. I'm also worried about doc fees and advertisement fees they may try to throw on me at the end. I currently have a 2002 f150 with 280k miles on it. Love the truck but time for upgrade. I hope this new truck can last that long!

When you order have the dealer look up and see if you have any personal rebates.

I was happy with $500 under invoice minus any rebates available at the time. The dealer really only has ~$1200 in holdback to play with, so $600 under invoice I think is fair. I doubt there'll be much in the way of factory rebates on 16's for awhile.

I'd say it's a decent deal and I'd take it. As far as doc and advertising fees. Just say no and walk away if they don't budge. Ford's X-plan caps them at about $100 for a reason. Cuz they're just BS fees the dealer tacks on.

When I went to buy my '15, the dealer looked up my name & lo & behold, I had a personal rebate coming that I had forgotten about. Never hurts to ask....

Great this is the info I was looking for. I requested some brochures online hoping I will receive a personal rebate with it. From what I've seen thus far there are not large rebates in general for Lariat on up trim models like there are on XLT's. So I'm not betting on large rebates at time of delivery

Dealer is charged advertising fees by Ford, and uses the holdback to cover those charges, as I'm understanding. Doc. Fee is a variable and $100 is maximum with XPlan pricing.
