Drive the thing and see if you like it. No deal on the planet is going to make a difference if you drive the 2015 and for whatever reason can't stand it.

Very true and I will. It is a 2016. I've driven a few so far and have liked them all. Upgrade to headlamps and I should be happy.

From what you say, sounds ok to me. The only thing I would consider is going the Private Sale route on the FX4, I think you could get 3 to 5 thousand more for it based off your description and seeing how the used truck market has been for the last 6 months. I went from an '06 FX4 with much the same options as yours, minus power fold mirrors and heated/chilled seats to a '16 XLT Sport 302A SCrew over a Lariat for the same reasons. Just couldn't justify the cost. Wish my dealer had offered to throw the leather in free but their quote was only a $1,000 so nothing to cry about it.

Agree. 30k trade is really like 31500. Private party from kbb has mine at 31,700. Trade is 27k to 29,500. That's kinda why I thought 30k was fair. Also, I paid under 38 when I bought it new in Dec 2014. Now it needs tires too and that's almost another grand. This is what I tell my wife anyway...

I thought I read that the new F150's come with the SoundScreen acoustic windshield on the Lariat and up models. Beyond that I'm not sure if there is any other sound proofing.

Thanks - I wasn't 100% sure. I don't believe then that the Lariat offers any additional sound proofing unless someone else knows otherwise.

My 302a XLT has a SoundScreen windshield if I am not mistaken.
