Default Need help programing APIM please advise.

I just upgraded my 2013 FX4 with 402A MFT Sync2 to Sync3. Does anyone know if I can decipher my VIN to get the correct APIM DTC codes? If not possible what is the best way to get all my functions back?

Missing Heated and cooled seats. Dual climate control . Time won't display properly and when I press presets for stations they won't change . The tuning ****
**** and seek work just fine. I had navigation on old I did not get it on new APIM. The USB says it is not recognized Everytime I start truck but it works just fine with Android auto. I don't do apple so I don't need carplay. I think software is 2.2. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Ford as built website

https://www.motorcraftservice.com/asbuilt

Got it thank you. Is it as simple as changing the new APIM to my old data? Are the 2013 and 2017 f150 using all the same addresses and variables?

Should I just find a VIN of a 2017 FX4 402a and get a vin and use those address and variables to reset my new APIM? I can modify off of that easier than I can write all new variables using my old vin. It seems the Spreadsheet out there is only for 2015-2018 F150's.

If I use a totally different VIN than what came on my truck do I stand the risk of causing any un-forseen damage to my truck?

if you use a VIN with the wrong configuarion you'll run the risk of some unknown issue that could pop up later

Can I just change the APIM settings without causing underlying issues? I wasn't going to change all addresses. Only the ones pertaining to the APIM. Are changes that I make permanent or can I just reload the old settings?

Will I have to change ACM settings in addition to APIM?

Not to be rude, but did you research the specifics before swapping parts?

The AsBuilt you will find on the Motorcraft website for your trucks VIN will be for whatever your truck came equipped with, and most of those values will probably not “transfer” over cleanly since they are meant for different hardware.

Your best bet is to look on eBay or similar for a truck that equipped similarly to yours (XLT if yours is XLT, etc) BUT came with Sync 3. Plug that VIN into the Motorcraft tool and use all of the APIM AsBuilt from that as a starting point. Apply it to your APIM, and then consult the spreadsheet referenced in the Forscan thread to work your way through anything that isn’t working quite right.
