Default Need help with door cable

So I was removing my door panel to fix a speaker vibration issue and when attempting to disconnect the door latch cable, the plastic clip broke.
I’ve had no issues in the past removing these on both front doors
how hard is it to replace the cable? Looks like the clip can not be replaced

This may help. Doesn't look too difficult.

Just did this, first let me say it's a PITA. I seriously can't stress it enough. however, you will need to basically take half the bolts out of the door, remove the one bolt on side of door under the plastic cap to remove handle and reach up inside and remove the two 10mm nuts holding the handle in. Pull the handle out and disconnect the cable. What you need to ideally do peak your head inside the door. The entire white piece on the side you need to flip 180 degrees. It is easier to work on it while facing outwards and get to the clip. We were able to remove the original cable from inside the door , we used a long flat head screw driver. Then flip the plastic piece 180 degrees inside the door so you can work on it through the handle portion. Get everything locked in place, shove the cable back through the door and feed into normal positions.

I would have to say that its not overly difficult... might take some time and a few cuss words but its doable. During the winter latch freezing issues (glad it is spring now!!) i removed the door latch to clean/re-lubricate, etc. with the latch out it is very easy to replace a cable.

that said, if you try to do it with the latch in place, you might have more trouble. sometimes it is worth an extra 10 minutes of work to make the overall job easier!

I took out as many bolts as I could find, but missed the door handle. I assume you're talking about the round black plastic plug that's on the outer side door.
I got the white piece loose, but with the door handle on, I couldn't get it to move all the way.
I'll try again tonight and see how far I can get. I did manage to get the old cable out.

Correct, take out that black cap and pull the bolt out for the handle, don't break your handle and have to JB weld it like I did mine lol.
