Default Need help with check engine codes

2017 f150 3.5 Ecoboost, have a check engine light in the dash guys and it’s showing 2 codes P0400 & P0510. I did some searching online and I know the 400 code is EGR and the 510 is the TPS but I’m still uncertain what my issue is. Any help would be appreciated!

The egr code is probably insufficient flow and the tps might be the cause. You should still be under warranty and I'd let them look at it. But I'd be real tempted to record the codes and clear them and hope they don't come back.

This is what my work manual for a 2015 says. I don't have a 0510
P0400 - Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Flow

Description: The electric EGR (EEGR) system is monitored once per drive cycle at high and low load conditions. This DTC
sets when a concern is detected by PCM calculations indicating the EGR flow is less or greater than expected.
Possible Causes:
• EEGR valve stuck open or closed
• EEGR connector not seated correctly
• EEGR stepper motor
• VPWR circuit open
• EGRMC circuit open
• EGRMC circuit short to voltage
• EGRMC circuit short to ground
• Vacuum signal to manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor restricted or leaking
• Mass airflow (MAF) sensor signal erroneous
• Carbon build up in the EEGR valve seat area
Diagnostic Aids:
The following sensors input data to the PCM for correct operation of the EEGR system: engine
coolant temperature (ECT), crankshaft position (CKP), intake air temperature (IAT), MAF, throttle
position (TP), MAP and vehicle speed sensor (VSS). Diagnose any DTC relating to these sensors prior
to addressing this DTC.

P0510 is a generic ISO DTC designated as "Closed Throttle Position Switch". Ford does not have this code in their Powertrain Control / Emissions Diagnostic (PC/ED) Manual so they don't actively use it.

In my opinion it is likely an issue with the EGR system. Once that is fixed and codes cleared, I suspect the P0510 will not return.

As said, should be covered under warranty.

Thanks for the info guy’s. Unfortunately I don’t have any warranty remaining due to kms! I’m unsure about the location of the EGR valve on the Ecoboost unlike older models. Maybe it’s best I visit a shop and get this looked after.

Just a little update guys... I tried resetting the TPS by turning the key to the ACC position and slowly pressing the gas peddle ( did this 3 times ) and my check engine light disappeared when I started it back up. After driving it for roughly 300kms the light has come back on and now it’s only showing the P0510 code. What do you guys think, faulty Throttle Position Switch?

Here’s an update in case some other member has this issue, turns out it was a faulty Crankcase Pressure Sensor . “Code P051b”
