Default My key

I was messing around with advanced settings and set up a mykey and I would like to go back to stock. Now when I don''t buckle up it mutes my radio. I don't wear a buckle off road but I do like some tunes. Anyway to reverse this. Thanks, Kelly

You need the admin key.
If you only had one key and set it up as mykey, you will need to purchase a blank, have it cut at the Ford dealership and have it programmed.
There is no other known way to but to use an admin key.
You will see that the "mykey" when used will not giv you the option in your dash screen; only the admin key will.

First, I don't claim to know the answer for sure but I thought the key that was programmed, especially being the only one should be able to be reversed (go back to stock).

I set up one of my keys when I first got the truck 2 years a go and didn't like it and returned it back to stock. I remember it being a PITA but it was possible.

If nobody else chimes in with a definite answer I'll be able to check on it a bit later here Sunday evening.

I bought the truck new and have both keys it came with. So what you are saying is the other key is the admin key? How would i tell?

I thought (remember?) the key I programmed became the admin key.

I was sure you could clear it. I just won't be back to my truck (and manual in the glove box) till later tonight.

Clearing a MyKey with itself would make the primary use of the feature, governing youthful drivers, useless. You need the Admin key.

When purchased new, BOTH keys are admin keys.
You will know if it is an admin key when you put it in; it will show in the dash screen that it is an admin key.

Regardless of what you may believe, you MUST HAVE at least one admin key to program or un-program a mykey.

I know this first hand.

I bought my truck used with 9500 miles and it only had one key.
I was playing around with it, stupidly, without reading the manual, and inadvertently programmed the only key I had to a mykey, and had to wait until the dealership found the second one. Once they turned it over to me, it was very easy to reverse the mykey back to an admin key.
