Yeah don't blame ya. Normal response. Like someone earlier mentioned, every machine has its time to malfunction. This could be your only one - there's a reason f150's have been the best selling vehicle for years. Keep your chin up!

Well here is the summary. Cylinder 3 had at least one faulty injector. The shop changed all 12 injectors, all 6 spark plugs and changed oil and filter. Total investment was $1314. Approximately $550 of that cost was the price of the injectors. I'm sure some will disagree but having 12 new ones makes me feel better however that doesn't guarantee another problem at a later time. All in all truck runs exactly the same as it did before the breakdown. I will add that they said the heat shield on one of the catalytic converters had began to warp from the heat. No longer than it ran it's scary to think what may have happened had I driven further. Hopefully I never see the CEL again. Hopefully this information helps someone else.

I had to replace all injectors on my 18 @ 6,000 miles. At least it was free.

You made the right call. Your life is much more important than $1300. Only stop where you feel it is safe to do so.

No disagreement here. It's your truck, your money and, most importantly, your piece of mind. Glad it's fixed.

I really would have expected the cost to be higher than that to be honest.

The price seems great, it was definitely the right decision. Heres hoping many more worry free miles to come.

Loss of power and shaking violently. The bad injectors also damaged my catalytic converter and that had to be replaced also.

Don't be surprised if you get an engine code soon for emissions.
