Default My Box Link solution

I wanted to share a practical application for the Box Link system in my 2015 Platinum.

I needed a solution to carry my triathlon and mountain bikes in my new F150 but didn't want to use a hitch system. Thule makes a great product called the Bed Rider which provides a fork mounted application by way of a bracket mounted at the top edge of the truck bed. I installed a BakFlip F1 so I couldn't use the truck bed lip for the Thule Bed Rider. Instead, I fabricated a mount for the Box Link brackets that is secure and can remain installed while the F1 is in place.

Here are a few photos.

Looks nice. I'm going to use the E-Track wood beam sockets and mount fork blocks on a 1 x or 2 x. Should be able to put 3 or 4 bikes in there.

Any pics of just the mounts? I'd like to make a mounting plate with a retractable ratchet strap on it, so you can just pull the strap over the cargo to the other end, tighten and done. Then when unloading just unhook and let it reel itself back into the other side.

I'd like to see the mounts as well. I have a similar rack that I intend to put in the back of my truck when it gets here.

Looks simple. A plate wide enough to pick up the holes in the box link cleat and provide a place to bolt the Thule bracket. We'll done.
