And I thought it happened in a parking lot when someone opened their door into you! (sorry, bad joke).

Seriously, sorry to hear about your accident and it sucks if they plan to write it off. I assume that the other vehicles look a lot worse. God bless big, full size pickups. There is rarely a safer place to be in an accident.

Best of luck brother!

Glad you're ok. I'm just 30 minutes west of you. What type of vehicle hit you?

ford escape hit me on passenger side. it was totally messed. the officer that came to talk to me while i was on stretcher in ambulance said " don't worry. the young girl driving the escape said to say to you SORRY. she did not see the red light because she was texting her mother to tell her she was going as fast as she could. he laughed and walked away."
the other car that hit my driver side was a small chev.

I am glad you didn't get hurt to bad (assumption on my part since you already bought a new truck), you can always replace a vehicle.

Luckily they totaled your truck. years ago somebody hit my truck while it was parked. They didn't total it so it was repaired for over 10K. The truck was never the same and I traded it in after a while.

Your daughter (I assume) doesn't seem to approve. She's not a RAM or Chebby girl, is she?
