They make any other type of heavy duty flexible rubber mudflaps like the gatorbacks that work just as well? I like the idea of flexible rubber versus plastic. Less liking to get bumped, torn off due to obstacles, I think.

I just installed Husky mud flaps. In the box was a flyer showing several styles of mud flaps they sell. If you go to the Huskyliners web site you can see all the other styles including flexible rubber ones.

On my 2010 F150 I had DuraFlaps. I loved them and want to get some for my 2016. They’re what I consider real heavy duty mud flaps, not plastic splash guards or the flappy rubber semi type flaps. They tuck up all the way up into the wheel well and hang down either 10 or 12 inches below the bottom of the wheel well. No drill, easy bolt in installation with stainless hardware.

BTW, I just noticed a lot of splashes on my step bars in those pictures I posted. FWIW, I took those right after installing the splash guards last fall. There's much, much less of that sort of thing now.

Have any pictures of them installed?

Or does anyone have these mudflaps installed on a newer F-150 yet? I'm very curious to see what they look like and how they install.

I’ve been happy with the OEM ones and plan on going with them again.

I went with Duraflaps. Pricey, but I like them better than OEM. The Oems scuff the paint, if you ever have to take them off for some reason.

I installed OEM flaps last week. About 1/2 hour and no issues. I didn't bother installing the included metal stabilizer bars for the rear, besides the point of the metal piece rubbing on the truck body, even with the little sticker they give you to alleviate the rubbing, the flaps are plenty sturdy without them.
