Here is a pic of mine with the longer version and black powder coated weights.

Super thick reinforced rubber material with rain grooves.
Thanks for posting the picture. I was curious what the duraflaps look like on our F150s. Do you have any closeups or rear pictures of the flaps?

Ha! Somewhat I suppose. I'm more concerned about protecting my paint on my truck and enclosed trailer. Plus the longer ones up front should help keep more ice and snow off my running boards this winter. Ever slipped and fallen off a running board in the winter? Not fun for the shins

I'll see if I can snap some soon and post them here. Don't have any on the camera phone right now.

Here are some close ups on the rear flap. Sorry it is not perfectly clean.

So smooth looking. The "rain grooves" must add rigidity to the flap as well.

Very well could. I've been running mine for a few thousand miles at this point. This will be the first winter though.

I'm guessing they turn into stiff bricks once the cold weather and snow hits.

...I do like the drill-less design of the duraflaps on our F150s. I got an email back from duraflap with pictures and installation instructions. They even used aluminum hardware on the parts that rest against the chassis. It's very nice that they have corrosion prevention in mind.

Truth be told, they are pretty stiff as is. Which is good so they don't sail on you like a soft rubber flap would. Yes, the brackets needed for the front are aluminum. Probably took me all of an hour or two to install. Install was pretty easy with the included instructions. I was short on a few washers though with the kit (3 or so) but had some laying around that worked.
