Default Mud Flaps - Duhhh!

So I'm not one of those guys that stresses about keeping a show room clean truck like some out there but I do what I can to keep my girl looking nice most of the time. I had to take her through some pretty good mud this weekend at the deer lease and quickly realized I am in need of mud flaps. I have searched the forum and seems that most that have them prefer the WeatherTechs so I think that's what I'm going to go with but any opinions or pics are welcome. I mainly just wanted to post this so the next guy who doesn't think about getting them before getting muddy (or those that have to deal with snow) will have an idea of how it is without them. Looking back, I realize should have thought about this before hunting season but hind sight is always 20/20 right?

My Ford OEM flaps should be here today, which is great timing considering we have a blizzard coming in tonight. I prefer the look without them, but you're right - they do a great job at protecting from mud, snow, rocks, etc. I mostly am getting mine to protect the power running boards.

I still say for a truck that is Lariat trim and up, mud flaps should be standard for the price you pay.

Agreed. As long as they make it so those that don't like them can remove them without too much trouble. Hell, my 2007 Toyota Tacoma I traded in for this truck even had them standard.

I put the OEM splash guards/mudflaps within a week of purchase. Best investment out there to keep your truck clean.

Pics?

I'm debating on putting the factory rubber flaps on.

While driving through the snow and wet roads during freezing temps my vehicles always get a massive ice chunk formed below the front fenders. Has anyone ever torn one of these mud flaps off from that ice build up?

I've always ran at mudflaps for this reason, never had one tear off.

I'd love to see some photos. Trying to decide which ones to buy.

Default mud flaps

I got 2015 King Ranch all options, I got the weather tech mud flaps on mine, took about 1/2 hour to install and they look great, very sturdy, cost about 100 bucks'
