Mud flaps
I second the Weathertech -- easy to install, no drilling, great customer service, and they look nice. In fairness, I haven't tried the other options.
I went with the gatorback mud flaps and brackets. They are thick rubber mud flaps with aluminum mounting brackets. I like the look way better than OEM and didn't think the OEM mud flap mounting would stand up to my uses long term. The downside is the gatorback system is way more expensive and more difficult to install than OEM. However, if you don't want the fancy stainless steel Ford logos on the mud flaps, you can get the cheaper razor back mud flaps, that are the same size and shape as gator backs. I ordered mine from sharptruck.com and the customer service and price was awesome.
They're now a Ford licensed accessory and Ford dealers in Canada and USA are now selling them. They're manufactured in Lethbridge, Alberta.
Crappy cell phone pics for now. I'll have better ones by the end of week. The ones on my truck have the Gunmetal plate.
On our last Lariat we went OEM. A friend of ours went with the Weathertech ones. On our new XLT we decided to go the Weathertech rout and am very happy we did.

The fit and finish is perfect and we think it complements the truck better than the flat OEM style does. An added bonus for us, not another area where "Ford" is plastered. I mean, how many places does one need "Ford" on a vehicle to understand who's product it is?
The Weathertech's are using the factory bolt locations and a pretty smart lever type attachment. NO DRILLING!

Gatorbacks are an awesome, premium product.
No drill or clips, strictly bolt on installation.

I'm interested in these. Did you use the supplied self tapping screws? Is there enough metal (meat) available to drill in to? Does the aluminum fenders present a problem?
Thanks.....
Don't use the sheet metal screws. Buy the aluminum mounting brackets in the videos I posted on page 1 of this thread. They are specifically designed to eliminate the need to drill into the truck and also be compatible with the aluminum body panels and prevent corrosion. I considered fabricating my own brackets after watching the install videos to see what they looked like, but it just wasn't worth the time to me.
+2 on the Gatorback No body drill mud flaps. The quality and thought put into these is awesome. Works with OE fender liners. These two videos are based on the Ford accessories kits, the holes in the rubber are all pre-punched. They are pricy but their is nothing else like them, its not just a flap, check out the bracket system that makes these what they are. Thats why they cost what they do.
