I get 3mpg less with winter blend gas. I can't wait until they switch over to the summer gas!!

14.5 MPG on V6 Ecoboost (a little of everything) 2016 Platinum

I had the 5.0 V8 in my 2015 Lariat (better mileage)

I'm guessing the V6 has to work harder with the added weight of a Platinum....I drive mostly highway & I think normal I think the Moonroof & step tailgate alone add quite a bit of weight....

36 Gallon Tank had about 675 mile range with V8 5.0 (2015 Lariat)
36 Gallon Tank has about a 575 range with V6 Ecoboost (2016 Platinum)

I thought I had the wrong gas tank when I bought the new 2016 Platinum. Wow.

16.5 average on 2.7 Eco, I try to stay out of the turbos....but it's just to much fun to feel that God bomb go off beneath you when the lag catches up.

problem is its an ecoboost and not a 5.0, it is inferior.

I was pretty amused as I read your post and thought "that sounds like a thread Zika would start" then I scrolled laterally and saw it was you.

I've got 690 miles. Had my truck less then a month. My daily commute consists of 16 miles highway and 8 miles city. I'm at 18 right now and couldn't be happier. Coming from a Raptor with 37s, fully stocked bed cage, dumped exhaust getting 9mpg. I live my Ecoboost.

With my ecoboost 3.5 I've seen city avg 17.5 to long haul on I 8 to San Diego 26-28mpg (very flat interstate), there are way to many variables that come into play when talking MPG..... everyone seems to always be different. Only thing I can talk to is after all my testing, I found cruise set at 65MPH gives me the best MPG...... thought 55MPH would, funny how that works.

I had better MPG with my 2012 EcoBoost than my current 2015. But hey Ford checked it out on a test drive at highway speeds and it got 17.5 mpg and that is in spec...

Seems that Ford aims for 80% passing grade on everything and 17.5/21 is 83% so that is AS DESIGNED.
