Thoughts on first night drive; not too bad. Nice wide spread, but distance isn't great. There is a slight overlap on the outsides where my halogens and fogs both shine, and the halogens shine further. But, the morimotos do have a fantastic cutoff line. Turning my fogs on and off on a dark road doesn't make a difference at all where my headlights shine, no brighter. But, the fogs do shoot out wider to the sides to light up ditches and woods which is great. But they're too blue for my liking, and kinda ricer-ish. Yellow film on the lenses is a must for me.

I find they match the LED heads almost perfect and have a great cut off.

I am coming from a 2010 that I put HID in the fogs and man were they great. They lit up like crazy. Very noticeable difference with them on, compared to the morimotos not a huge difference can be seen when turning them on and off.

I would be very interested to see some pics with yellow lamin x film on them what the output is at night.

The morimoto housings just look way better, especially on darker colour trucks. I think there are probably better useful lights out there.

That's what I like about the morimotos leds, crisp and nice cutoff but does lack distance. I think putting a film on the fogs will even make more "ricer" looking. That's why I took off the film. I think with the yellow film it reduced more of the visibility. That's why I took it off. Also a plus for almost matching the OEM LEDs

I don't understand why people are complaining about distance. These are fog lights, they aren't meant for distance. They are meant to light up the front of your vehicle close to the ground. If you want distance, get a light bar or projection lights or better high beams.

You do need a bit of distance in bad weather. Not as far as highbeams or anything, but the foglights are what's going to light up the ground down low to reflect the least amount of light back at you off of rain/snow/fog. Sometimes it's even best to drive with headlights off and only fogs. I've been in weather that bad a few times, where the headlights ruin all visibility. Wide fogs are also a nice OEM thing to have to light up wide ditches and wooded areas where wildlife likes to cross the highways. So a bit of distance is nice here as well. My Xterra's fogs were like another set of lowbeams angled outwards, same with my BMW. Ford has screwed up lighting in so many ways...

Just installed my Morimotos...relatively easy minus the whole laying on your back with arms above you. YouTube videos made it easy. Nice quality build on the lights. Only took about 30 minutes.

havent driven with them but can tell they have a very sharp cutoff. I can already tell these throw light out wider than the stocks as well. My main goal was to have fogs that matched the factory LED headlights. These match great and since the light output appears to be better than the halogens these were a good buy from a Black Friday sale.
