the 2.7EB comes with a "payload package" not to be confused with HDPP "heavy duty payload package". If you had the HDPP the GVWR would be 7,850.

Your truck does not have the 9.75 - guaranteed! Not available in 2.7's for 2015-2017's

Send picture I'm certain it's an 8.8 I had the same truck.

Just curious, with help from here I have found that mine is the 9.75 but has anyone ever heard of many failures of the 8.8” differentials. Is there any other reason why you would want the larger diff?

There is absolutely nothing wrong with the 8.8" HD rear axle in the 2015+ F150s. Have several with forced induction and 37" tires and have yet to see one fail.

I want the 9.75 for the heavier springs and higher gvwr. Why would Ford use a heavier rear diff if it wasn't really needed? They certainly don't market it, so IMO it is needed for a reason.

Mine has the 9.75” but I don’t think the springs are heavier and the gvwr is 7000. I’m not sure why Ford does some of their options, a few months ago I saw one without max tow, it was rated somewhere in the 6000 gvwr range but had 6 ply LT tires. I looked at the door sticker and talked to the owner and he hadn’t changed the tires yet.

Yes you are correct, It is the Payload Package not the HDPP.

So you are telling me, the information in Oasis and the information on my window sticker is wrong? Here is a picture.
